us for information. Day 1: Adelaide to Rawnsley Park Station Depart Adelaide and head north to the magnificent Flinders
Ranges. Join a short camel safari through the spectacular mountain
scenery and enjoy lunch surrounded by an abundance of native flora and
fauna. Travelling further north, visit aboriginal art sites where your
expert guide will introduce you to this ancient culture. Spend the
afternoon and evening exploring awe inspiring Wilpena Pound. (Optional extra: flight over

Day 2: Rawnsley Park to Coober Pedy
This morning, leave the beauty of the Flinders Ranges and travel north
to the Outback of South Australia. The first stop is at Woomera, the former rocket launching site. Here visit the outdoor
defence museum which presents an extraordinary display of rockets,
missiles and aircraft that have been tested at the range as well as
historical information. In the afternoon, you arrive at Coober Pedy in
time for an underground mine tour and opal cutting display. There will
be time to explore the unique opal capital of the world and indulge in

Day 3: Coober Pedy to UluruOnwards again to the north, travel into the remote deserts of outback central Australia, stopping at the SouthAustralian/Northern Territory border for a unique photo opportunity. | Day 4: Uluru to Kings Creek Resort After an early start to see the magnificent sunrise over Uluru, you have time to join a guided walk around the base of the rock, learn about Aboriginal culture and appreciate the spiritual meaning that this area has to the traditional owners. Lunch is at the aboriginal cultural
centre before making your way to the breathtaking series of 36 rock
domes that make up Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Finally today, travel to Kings Creek

Day 5: Kings Creek Resort to Alice Springs
At Kings Canyon this morning you have a choice of a 1 hour or 4 hour walk
around the spectacular gorges and rugged valleys of this ancient
land. Here you will also find a diverse range of rare plant and
wildlife species. Later in the day travel further into the outback
of Australia ending your epic journey in the central Australian township
of Alice Springs. (B) |
