Day 1
Collect your rental vehicle in Hobart spend the rest of the day at
leisure in the area.
Overnight: Lenna of Hobart - pictured
Day 2
Today drive to Strahan.

Day 3
Leave Strahan and drive north to Cradle Mountain. Covering some of
Tasmania's highest country, the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair
National Park, with its many lakes and mountain peaks, is famous
for its magnificent alpine scenery.
Overnight: Cradle Mountain Lodge (Pencil Pine Cabin - includes breakfast)
for 2 nights |

Day 4
Remain at Cradle Mountain today to explore the area. |
Day 5
Depart Cradle Mountain and drive to Launceston where you will spend 2
nights in the beautifully restored City Park Grand Hotel
(previously the Prince Albert Inn) which offers
the style and grace of the 1850s with all the facilities that the
modern traveller expects.
Overnight: City Park Grand Hotel
Day 6
Day at leisure in the Launceston area - a visit to the lovely wine
region of the Tamar Valley could be considered.

Day 7
Drive east via St Helens and from the sand dunes of St Helens Point head
south down the coast through the Chain
of Lagoons and Bicheno, with the chance to explore the Freycinet National
Park. The east coast
is a ribbon of beaches, granite outcrops and deserted coves.
Continue south to the seaside town of Bicheno
Overnight: Diamond Island Resort, Bicheno - includes continental
breakfast provisions and guided evening penguin tour
Day 8

Depart Swansea and drive to Hobart.

Day 9
Drop off your rental vehicle in Hobart. You can add extra
nights in Hobart if you want to stay longer.
