ABOUT US

Crossing the Never Never Creek near Bellingen, northern New South Wales © Tourism NSWGallery Travel Limited, trading as Truly Australia, was registered in England in 1989 (Company no. 2366258) at which time we commenced trading. The company still conducts business from its original premises in the High Street of the timbered, medieval East Sussex village of Mayfield.  Over the years we have increasingly specialised in travel arrangements to and within Australia and have always made sure that our senior staff train and qualify as 'Aussie Specialists'.   The culmination of all this specialist knowledge and experience is this website. Our address and contact details are shown at the end of every page. Our opening hours are 0900-1730 weekdays and 0930-1300 Saturday (UK times); we are closed on Sunday and on UK public holidays.

Our travel trade accreditations include the following:

ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents).
Tour Operator member no. W5912 (Travel Agent member no. A1485)
ABTA membership not only gives fully Bonded financial protection to our clients, but also means that we must adhere to a strict Code of Professional Conduct and financial monitoring - more about ABTA and the Code of Conduct

AUSTRALIA GUIDE BOOK (AUS GUIDE BOOK)
Truly Australia have attempted to give an honest and objective description of the topics covered on each page in our Guide Book section and have deliberately avoided regurgitating tourist office media releases. The information shown has been compiled from a variety of reputable sources and our own experiences. We check and review this information from time to time, but we assume no responsibility for the absolute accuracy of the details given.  We do however pledge to update any inaccuracies as and when we become aware of them.

Tribute to Penny Kitchenham

Penny Kitchenham and Bruce Millard at Mt Glorious near Brisbane, June 2007 © Hugh Childers
The late Penny Kitchenham (deceased 24 April 2008), was a co-founder and the creative inspiration behind this website.

Penny's Truly Australia colleagues will continue to source interesting and unusual travel arrangements within Australia as an antidote to the bland mass-market travel products which are frequently offered elsewhere.
