in the Northern Territory accessed via Darwin

Scroll down for Price Panel ...
Seven Spirit Bay is situated in Aboriginal Arnhemland on the Cobourg Peninsula, the most northern tip of the Northern Territory, and is so special that a permit must be obtained from the traditional owners of the land for each visitor to enter. The Lodge is surrounded by the pristine wilderness of Garig Gunak Barlu National Park, including Cobourg Marine Park, and is accessed by twin-engine plane from Darwin.  Wildlife, bird life, rainforest patches, mangroves, swamps, lagoons, pristine beaches (not for swimming) and more are all here to be explored.  The area is a wildlife sanctuary and famous for buffalo, bantang, sambar deer, Timor ponies, wallabies, birds and crocodiles.    Seven Spirit Bay Prices

Getting to Seven Spirit Bay ...
Seven Spirit Bay is accessible only by a combined flight and short vehicle transfer through the National Park.  Enjoy an inspiring scenic air transfer past the Tiwi Islands and the magnificent Top End coastal region to the Cobourg Peninsula.  From the private airstrip, friendly staff will escort guests on the drive to the Lodge.  Flights are booked directly by Seven Spirit Bay through Truly Australia and are included in the Prices below.
Your adventure to this remote wilderness region begins with a 45 minute scenic flight in a light aircraft, travelling northeast from Darwin over Van Diemens Gulf to the Cobourg Peninsula.  Flights depart 9.00am daily from Darwin General Aviation Terminal, plus afternoon flights depart July, August and September on Tuesdays at 5.30pm and Fridays at 3.30pm.  On arrival at Vashon Head, Midjari private airstrip, your host will greet you and transfer you to the lodge by safari vehicle.
Just as tribal ancestors were inspired by the land so many thousands of years ago, Seven Spirit Bay will touch your soul and inspire your sense of adventure.
Your arrival time into Darwin is 11.00am when returning from Seven Spirit Bay.

About Seven Spirit Bay Wilderness Lodge ...

Recently beautifully renovated and reopened in June 2005 after damage by Cyclone Ingrid, Seven Spirit Bay Wilderness Lodge on the Cobourg Peninsula is a unique experience.  As the most northerly lodge on Australia's mainland, Seven Spirit Bay provides guests with an exceptional opportunity to experience true wilderness in great style and comfort.
Superbly sited in the tropical forest just a few metres from the sea, Seven Spirit Bay sits amongst the trees in virtually untouched forest, designed to be in complete harmony with the environment.
The Lodge is open to the sea breezes and the sights and sounds of the tropics day and night and natural harmony has been achieved through a design style that is tropical, relaxing and completely elegant.
The lodge is barely discernable from the air or water yet still has commanding views across the bay. The main building is the focus of activity from which meandering paths weave through the native, open woodland to several clusters of tropical style accommodation units, called habitats. There is a spacious indoor/outdoor dining area, cocktail bar and guest lounge - surrounded by cool, lush lawn and with broad decking overlooking the lagoon pool and the impressive vista of the Arafura Sea.

"They want the wilderness but they also want a safe and comfortable place to sleep, they want the crocodiles, but they also want the chardonnay. And that's exactly what they get at Seven Spirit Bay."
LOS ANGELES TIMES MAGAZINE, USA

Your habitat has two queen size beds for relaxed comfort, spacious sitting area, tea and coffee making facilities, a refrigerator with cold water and a personal mini-bar stocked to your requirements.
At Seven Spirit Bay neither TV nor radio competes with the sounds of nature.
